7:08 AM 11/1/2018 – Long Post: “Meadows: Investigate FBI for being ‘weaponized’ by Obama”. | M.N.: Investigate FBI for being “Obamized” by Obama, in all respects.

This is the big, absolutely unexplored and unaddressed, and quite painful subject. It must be investigated, in all the possible respects and implications also, and this phenomenon (non-doubtful?) has to be studied.

There is no need for the “Obama’s FBI” or “Trump’s FBI”. There is a tremendous need for the US Domestic Intelligence Service, be it the FBI or any other (competition is the engine of perfection), which is healthy and well functioning. It does not appear that presently the current FBI fits these criteria.

El Salvador’s Legal System Discriminates against Women, Attorney Burgos Says SAN SALVADOR – Women in El Salvador are exposed to judicial proceedings that lack gender perspective, especially those accused of homicide or attempted murder when allegedly having an abortion, attorney Alejandra Burgos said in an interview with EFE.The lawyer is part of the defense team that represents Imelda Cortez, a 20-year-old woman charged with “attempted murder” after allegedly trying to end her unwanted pregnancy resulting from repeated sexual assaults by her stepfather, who abused her over the past seven years.“Imelda and other women prosecuted for homicide – when in fact they had an obstetric problem – are poor women, from rural areas and whose rights to education and healthcare have been hampered,” Burgos said.

Latin American Herald Tribune: Paraguay Begins Prison Census

PRN-Latino News from mikenova (16 sites)
Paraguay Begins Prison Census ASUNCION – Paraguay’s Justice Ministry and the Higher Electoral Tribunal (TSJE) began on Wednesday taking a census of the country’s prison population to find out the situation of inmates and to end prison overcrowding, due in part to defendants spending months and even years in custody waiting for their cases to come to trial. The work began Wednesday morning in one of the wings of the Esperanza Industrial Prison, south of Asuncion, where the 50 officials tasked with taking the census set up rows of facing chairs for interviewing the inmates. The purpose of the census is not just to get a prison count, but also to find out the personal and court status of the more than 14,000 inmates. The census takers interviewed the approximately 260 Esperanza inmates one at the time. The inmates sat before staff members to answer questions ranging from personal things – such as how often they receive family visits, if they get into fights and the things they do during their spare time – to the current status of their court cases. The objective is to put a human face on the numbers, Alejandro Buzo, general director of planning and institutional development at the Ministry of Justice, told reporters.“The aim of the census is to get the current photos and data (of inmates in) the penitentiary system updated” in all facilities, Buzo said.
