Por José M. Saldaña - 4:00 am
The disastrous policy of non-confrontation was established in the early '80s by the UPR administration Agrait Fernando, Juan Fernandez and Antonio Garcia Padilla. That policy was responsible for the UPR was largely taken by blackmail by the revolutionary left groups who for any claim or excuse, called a strike at will burst forth violently with impunity in the institution, prevented the entry those who wanted to fulfill his obligation, destroying property, assaulting teachers periodically creating a state of chaos and anarchy, reaching jeopardize institutional accreditation. All this accompanied by a policy of not allowing the entrance of the police institution.
Given this policy of non-confrontation and ban entry of police, these leftist grupete out with their own administrations by crushing the institution to give in to their unreasonable demands. They came up with his last confrontation with university administration.
During the last strike of 2010 the Board of Trustees rescinded the policy and allowed the entry of the police to the University to end the anarchy and to establish the institutional order. At that time the public-review of these confrontations sick and faint-administrations turned in favor of management and against unruly strikers. They could not advance their agendas with impunity.
Today we see as the UPR is again directed by up and down and at the mercy of the radical separatist left. Again there prevails no confrontation policy and impunity of the rioters, thanks to the government of AGP in pairing with these groups, there has stimulated the implementation of that policy again naming a separatist socialistic president who fully supported the rioters strikers in that recent disastrous strike. In addition the offset with high positions in the current popular government. This return policy seeks not confrontation during this term to bring the rebels to increase their efforts to UPR spearhead to stop the progress of statehood and trying to convert Puerto Rico into Chavez's socialist republic they crave.
Now, that policy has been transferred by eunuchs Antonio (Tony) Garcia Padilla, the true governor to become government policy prevails during the present term to deal with unreasonable demands, abuses of unions and radical groups left.
Last Thursday saw with disgust and indignation as during the first stoppage of trade unions against the measures proposed to reduce benefits, strikers we created a completely paralyzing the traffic chaos in the Minillas tunnel. There prevailed violence against drivers, vehicles with impunity paralyzed by blockage was damaged. A situation of a possible disaster by carbon monoxide poisoning was created. We saw strikers drunk, consuming alcohol openly and shamelessly exposing posters with profanity. Anyway, there was a total lack of control by both protesters and police remained undaunted by the prevailing state of anarchy. The police had orders to follow the policy of non-confrontation, limited to mere spectators.
In this situation, the governor AGP submissive tone, offered the country a bobolongo message in which he implored the assistance of these groups of outlaws. Here we have gathered the sentimentality, the ineptitude of the governor and the pairing with the unions, with a dangerous agenda to advance separatist, socialist, anti-American causes.
So, it is not surprising that in light of the above we see increasing impunity violations of civil rights of all people by these groups of outlaws before submission and long view of the current government. No federal remedy ... will have to go into action soon.
