Zverev Eases Past Schwartzman to Reach Paris Masters Quarterfinals PARIS German world No. 5 Alexander Zverev brushed aside Argentine Diego Schwartzman 6-4, 6-2 on Thursday to reach the quarterfinals of the Paris Masters and continue his best-ever run at this indoor hard-court tennis event.Schwartzman, who had won the players only previous matchup more than four years ago, seemed to be suffering some after-effects of the two hours and 20 minutes he spent on court on Wednesday in defeating Spains Feliciano Lopez in the previous round.Zverev saved all four break points he faced in the one-hour, 20-minute match and converted half of his six break-point chances to move a step closer to the fourth ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title of his career.The German won a clay-court Masters 1000 tournament earlier this year at the Madrid Open, a key French Open tune-up.For Schwartzman, the loss brought an end to a career-best season that included a run to the quarterfinals of the French Open.

Google Workers Worldwide Protest Sexual Harassment NEW YORK Hundreds of Google workers in New York walked out of the companys Big Apple offices on Thursday as part of a global protest against the tech giants handling of sexual harassment cases.The mobilization followed a report in The New York Times saying that Android creator Andy Rubin received $90 million in severance when Google fired him in 2014 over accusations of sexual misconduct that the company deemed credible.Thursdays first protests took place at Google offices in Singapore, Tokyo and other Asian locations, spreading to European cities such as London, Berlin and Zurich as the day wore on.Google employees in New York walked out of the firms Manhattan offices at 11:10 am.After the reaction to the story in The Times, Google CEO Sundar Pichai sought to reassure employees about the companys stand against sexual harassment.Over the past two years, we have terminated 48 people, including 13 senior managers and above for sexual harassment, Pichai said.
